Since realizing the virtues of our fav speckled fish around here and the resulting dust on my arsenal of med-heavy baitcasting sets and several spools of 15 - 20 lb line...I began to pay more attention to the many recommendations that "the RoadRunner will catch anything that swims". Lock that in unison with the advice "when you think you're fishin' it slow...slow down some more", I began to realize that these words of advice were valid and truly produce results.

It's funny how one's confidence in a particular lure and it's presentation actually result in more successful outings on the water. I had fished RoadRunners previously but once I began to focus more on size and presentation, things started happening. So much so that I now have a prized collection of various RoadRunner lures. Maybe collection is the wrong word...I feel about my RoadRunner lure collection like comedian Ron White feels about his cigar "collection"...he said even though they are considered by some as a collection, he intends to smoke every daggum one of em. Like Ron, I intend on dragging every last one of mine across a crappie's nose.
