Oh you never know what a day might bring,
From your morning coffee until the last birds sing.
Crappie.com may have a contest,
Where we have to write poems and hope it’s the best.
In between the rise and fall of the sun,
The water is calling for a chance at some fun.
So I hope this poem can help me say

Are fishermen all liars
Or do only liars fish

When it comes to crappie
We tell you no lies today

There once was a man named Slab
Who started a forum for all guys to gab,
He opened a contest
For fishUSA
In the hopes that we all start a tab

Hope more than one entry is allowed...

They swim so fast and try to hide,
While flashing silver side to side.
But Crappie will catch the little shad,
As another morsel WILL be had.
Soon the predators will become the prey,
When fishermen begin their day.
And it becomes a game of wits,
Until the man gives up and quits.
But with bait and tackle from FishUSA
Some of those Crappie won’t get away.
And later after the family says Grace,
They’ll all sit down and stuff their face!

Another one just for fun....now I guess I better get back to work. hahaha.

The secrets of the skill are passed,
From dad to son or little lass.
So they can grow up learning too,
And chase the crappie just like you.
A hook or pole or jig or line,
It’s all at FishUSA to find.

While hungry crappie lay in wait.
And if we hold our mouth just right,
We’ll all clean fish and eat tonight!

Can't help myself! I'm not a deep poet, but I do get a little kick out of making something rhyme that sort of makes sense. lol

True story.....in poem format.

The meeting is over,
oh what a relief,
I finished another one
without too much grief.

The stress is dissipating
as I sit in this chair,
And I think ‘What’s the temp?’
of that clear outside air.

As my mind starts to wander
and focus on fish,
I can’t help myself…
I wish, oh how I wish!

That a night trip was planned
in the upcoming days
And that I had a new pole
from FishUSA.

For my birthday
the family gave a thermocell
And along with the gift cards,
a green LED may do well!

So I may need to plan it
and make that trip happen,
As it could pay off big
if I don’t get caught nappin!
