My advice is don't be afraid to try new lures or colors. You don't have to spend a lot of money just buy a few to try out. When the fish aren't biting try a color you haven't caught them on before or a lure you don't usually use. I have saved some fishing trips and caught a limit on lures most people here in Georgia don't use much like tube baits and rigging them different. Also watch the water temp. That tells you where to fish as far as depth and how far the crappie have moved up. Good luck, some of the best days are a fishless day that turns into a memorable day in the last hour of daylight.
