    driftmaster

crappie.com has the best fishermen in the land.
Mainly because we follow the kent Driscoll's plan.
Catfishermen at grenada, against the wind will be rowing
but for us geezers no doubt,we will come a trolling .
Some up the road at enid, will seek the slabs by jigging
but for us southern boys, most likely we'll be spider rigging.
The rocks at Sardis, grampa will be climbing
but the die-hard will be long lineing .
On tournament day we will surely plaster,
simply because we all fish driftmaster !

The lessons in life, they sure aren't free,
But at crappie.com,the people share them with me.

From fishing to hunting they have it all.
I spend a lot of my free time here and have a ball.

The info I get comes from around the US.
Where else can you go and be so blessed?

    Sitting right here,I'm traveling around.
Looking and learning without leaving the ground.

That's funny to say, I'm scared to fly.
    I'd much rather learn,to tie a fly.

Read an article about spider rigging,
    seems quite cool,and I ain't kidding.

Grandpa taught me to fish when I was a young lad.
Those special trips were the best to be had.

Five gallon buckets, plum full of slabs.
And coolers of catfish,oh I can gab.

He meant so much to a kid like me,instilling the confidence that he gave to me.

He was my best friend but I didn't know it.
Can't tell him now, I just pray I showed it.

Just another lesson in life, that is not free.
Open your eyes so you might see. The whirl wind that we live in may seem fast. But you never know what day is your last.

Live each day to its fullest, and show your love to those who's closest.

My grandpa was a special man, I miss him dearly.

If he were here today,I'm sure he'd agree.
Driftmaster's the best in our whole country!

Dark, dark out into the night. No illumination but the moon and a few stars to the east.

Screaming, screaming is a bird far to the south. Awakened are more, and they also scream in their own voice.

Wind, the wind is nonexistent now. Not even a breeze.

It is calm again, as the birds fly off.

    Alone on the lake now.
    I feel alone.

As I'm sitting and pondering in nothingness, I notice the time.
    Two hours have pasted.

I sit some more. This time grabbing my smart phone.

The sky to the east is getting brighter, and brighter. The sun is fixing to rise.

    I sit even more.

The sun is now cresting the horizon, directly into my eyes.

I check the time again. And it is.That Time.

I log off crappie.com and check my battery symbol. It's low.

I start up the motor, reel in all the lines. Twenty two keeper catfish in the box. I say "Good time"

Move down the shore line to where the bass are known.

Ready the crank baits and adjust my driftmaster's in a tighter pattern than the night before.

I troll, the shad are popping, fleeing from bass. Water is flat. Activity abounds.
    Splash.
    Splash

Isn't long till first rod bounces. And then another.

    I'm no longer alone.

More and more boats come to crowd me. How lines don't cross?

I'm not alone. And don't like it.

Nine big white bass along with the cats,I'm done.

When I was young I had a man in my life
He had two kids and of course his wife.
He worked hard every day to make a living
Yet he still had time for plenty of giving.
In my younger years I had a wish
And he granted my wish , he taught me to fish.
He taught me about bait, to cast and to troll
And showed me where to find the best fishing hole.
Now Crappie.com can teach me a new trend
But I owe most of my knowledge to this one great friend.
This friend was my dad and he is no longer here
But because of my belief I have no fear.
I know that he is now in a much better place
And I look forward to the day when I will again see his face.
I thank you for all that you did for me Dad
And I will never forget the great times that we had.
To make life enjoyable, you must have crappie days.

    Any Member Know This Story?

To all my good friends at Crappie Dot Com,
I'm known as Cane Pole or simply "Tom."

When I mention it's time for trolling,
My wife's big eyes at once start rolling.

When I try talking "spider rigging,"
She thinks it means simple pole jigging.

When I use a term like "drift master,"
She assumes the boat just goes faster.

When I say a word like "long lining,"
She gets confused and starts her whining.

When I suggest I'm ready to troll,
She only wants the ole fishing hole.

While I agree that she's quite a gal,
She's not a serious fishing pal.

Am I the only Crappie Dot Com guy
Whose wife constantly ask "what or "why"?

    The leaves are turning colors
    It time for a change
    There’s dew every morning
    And no one to blame

    I have this strange yearning
Can you feel it, I do
    Something’s tugging at me
What is it I, don’t have a clue

    On Crappie.com I was reading
What others say I should do
    The slabs are showing up
Get out and catch you a few

I can’t just go out and do it
I need to have me a plan
Should I rig up for jigging or trolling
How best can I fill up my frying pan

I thought about it for hours,
I surfed and focused really hard
Shall I go out and catch me some slabs
Or stay home and work in the yard

Then a vision came upon me
So smart and so grand was the view
It was my Crankbaits and Drift Masters
With my rods and my reels oh so true

    I saw my direction,
I knew just what to do
I hooked up my boat and provision and
    Down the highway I flew
Right down to the boat ramp to launch
    and catch me a few

Then I saw a long line there waiting
    And not just a few
    All my buddy’s there
    Yes they were there
Because they were all feeling it too!!!

Some guys on crappie.com jig 1 pole
    Some prefer to just troll
Them down south boys call it strolling
Us northern boys call it trolling
You know them slabs are what were after
You can't go wrong with driftmaster.

    4THETHUMP, Herewego, and docwaldo,
    are crappie.com poets no doubt
    but Knot2Bad, ToadRunner, and royinlox's
    driftmaster poems also standout.....

    hawgdog, Pintail 711,and Cane Pole
entered some doozys, as well as eagle 1
then there's RetiredRR, Tx fisher, and SweetHomeAlabama
so it looks like it's far from done....

    magnum500's quite the poet
and Monark King190's on a spree
but this contest ain't over yet
I'm still waiting on that Geezer "G"....
