The b&w photo of my dad we just found! Lost my mom a couple days ago so I don't have any details about it. It was always a fight between my mom, who always wanted to fish for "The Big One" Northern Pike, and my Dad who just wanted to relax while Crappie fishing. Mom always seemed to win that battle....

Da Bears...
The first picture of fish were at caught at Pickwick Dam in 1953 by my Grandfather Mr. Gilbert Sartain and a friend Fat Poe on Pap's Hair Jigs, these two stringers were caught in three hours of fishing, the other pictures are of fish, him and his friends caught at Pickwick on the same jigs he hand tied. Everyone that sees the pictures of him with a suit on ask why, the reason that most of the pictures we have of him with his suit on and fish are beacause he drove a Trailways bus and when he got off he usually went straight to the lake, I still tie jigs the way he taught me years ago and my Love for fishing also came from his Love for fishing, I hope everyone enjoys these pictures as I look at them often because he was absolutley my best friend and fishing partner in life.

Here's one from around 1968/1969. My dad was a carpenter and he always wore overalls. Fishing, hunting, hot, cold, it was always overalls. This is me and my dad with a mess of flatheads. This was after the first big tornado hit Jonesboro. I know this because in the background are the concrete forms for storm shelters that my dad had built.

This is my father Kenneth Rollans and his late brother Lyndal Rollans around 1944 at McGuire's Pond.
These two brothers loved each other and loved spending many lazy summer afternoons fishing any way they could!
First pic circa 1965 on my Grandpa Joe's charter boat out of Sausalito, Ca. 6 years old and all I remember is traveling 3 hours by boat to the Salmon grounds. I do remember a passenger catching a shark and Grandpa killing it with a shotgun! I own the rod/reel combo in the bottom right corner of the pic!
My wife Diane of 34 years! Door County Wisconsin about 1964. We also own the minnow bucket and rod/reel combo in her pic too! Bringing back memories....GREAT CONTEST!!!
