What kind of programs do yall use to edit out video footage for your videos? Any good free programs on the net?
You really don't need another person to run the camera. If you have seen any of my videos they are all filmed by myself while I am in my kayak. Just set your camera up on a tripod in a strategic location in your boat, turn it on record and commense fishing. Relocate the camera position from time to time just to get a different angle. Sometimes I even run two cameras at once. It is not all that difficult. There is a video editor that comes with most of todays computers if you are running windows. Window Movie Maker is preinstalled on most computers for the last 5 years or so. It works well and is simple to use. I personally use Vegas 9.0, which is quite a bit more advanced then the Windows version but that is what I was looking for. If you are only going to do it ocassionally, then the Windows version is fine. I spend a lot of time editing and producing videos for other people who want a bit more then what Window can do. There are many editing software options that cost anywhere from $40 to several hundred. Mine was $90 and was well worth it, but if you don't know much about video editing you might just want to start with the basic, who knows, you might already have one on your computer and don't know it. I have found many people in the last few years who did not realize that Windows Movie Maker was already installed on their computer.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
