Spent a nice weekend down at Buggs with the best looking fishing partner that I've ever had. Got to sleep in on Saturday morning and made it down to Buggs around noon. We had us a nice picnic lunch on shore before heading out to try and catch a few fish. Both days were nice and sunny and of course some wind. We caught fish both Saturday and Sunday about any way you wanted to. We started casting to shoreline brush, then did some tightlining, next we shot docks and then vertical jigged brush and on Sunday we did some longlining as well.. Caught fish from 1' to 8' deep using minnows, curlytails and stinger jigs on various colors. Saturday we fished around 4 hours and caught around 25 crappie with 10 weighting over a pound up to a pound and a half. Sunday we fished about 3 hours and caught 15 crappie. We also caught white and yellow perch, bass, catfish, bream, and pickerel. All fished released. Water was stained in both creeks we fished with water temps between 64 and 66. Thanks again Gene and Elaine for your hospitality. Hope to be back soon. Hope all this rain doesn't mess the water up too much. Here are a couple of pictures.
