They are a just couple of all the good people on this forum helping us novice speck fisherman out when they can. I started fishing for some crappie last year here at Poinsett and had some decent luck, but this year the water level is way down and the fishing has been horrible. I wanted to try out Harney but have only been there a couple times and I know its real tricky getting in thru the mouth when the water is low. They helped me out by giving me some real good info on how to navigate into lake once you hit the markers. I made it in great but didnt do so good coming back, I missed the markers and got into the crap, but was able to circle back and made it the second time. The best part is that I took the wife out fishing for the first time in quite a few years, I usually bass fish and she doesn't like all the casting, so when I asked if she wanted to go crappie fishing she said yes and was excited about going. So we got there early Monday morning with the wind blowing more than I had hoped, there were alot more people at the ramp on a work day than I ever see at Poinsett even on the weekend, So we headed across the lake to the north end and started trolling back with the wind, my wife quickly caught one a roadrunner and she was all smiles. We never really got into them consistantly but ended up catching around 18 or so for the day, they all went back except for a few that we took home for a nice dinner. I know you all want pictures but only got a couple of her with some of the better ones. Thanks again to SpeckD and SlabStu.
