TN Youth Hunt

This is my cousins daughter and her buck (first deer she had ever shot). He was the first deer out Saturday afternoon and come in about 5 minutes after they got set-up (not much of a hunt, LOL!). He came to about 50 yds and she pulled the trigger on the .243 and he dropped in his tracks!. My daughter and I had just gotten settled in the stand when we heard the shot. She looked at me and said "that was fast".



This is my daughters first buck ever (she shot 2 does last year, one with crossbow and one with .243) and she shot it with the crossbow at 31 yds. We had already had a bigger 6 pt come in that never gave us an open shot at close enough range. I was kinda glad as it was 1.5 year old 6 pt that was already 14-15" wide and I knew there would be more deer come out. She did good as I tried to get her to shoot as he was slightly quartered to us and she told me he was not broadside. He finally turned broadside and she pulled the trigger. He ran about 35 yds and crashed (heart shot). I actually hit record this time and got this one on video.



We were able to get them both back to the camper for a photo of them together.



My cousins daughter also shot a doe yesterday morning (about a 20 minute hunt this time). It was a great weekend!
