Well I put my "know how" to the test yesterday by heading out in the middle of a 15 - 20 degree cold front to try out some panfishing. Got in the kayak at 8:45 am with the temperature at 43 degrees with a 10 mph wind. Never made it much above 60 degrees by the time I had left in the mid-afternoon. And yet another great day in the kayak in Central Michigan.
Good video it was fun to watch what was the average size on those gills?
Thanks VaCrappieMan. The average size of those and most of the gills I catch around these parts is 7 1/2 - 8 1/2 inches. Not hogs by no means, but just right for the pan. Every once in a while I'll get into some of them big ole bulls in the 9 1/2 - 10 1/2 range, but not to often.
Loved the look on your face when that gill jumped out of your hands! Priceless. Thanks for the vid, better than watching In-Fisherman or any of the other fishing on the TV.
