Check out another great video by slabsrus. Watch for the commercial too.
I decided there was no better way to celebrate Labor Day and being a productive member of society than by taking the weekend off and going fishing. Join me in my Native Watercraft Ultimate 14.5 kayak as I go after crappie and bluegill in central Michigan.
It's funny that you say "a hard way to fish" Billbob, because to me it is so much easier than dealing with a motor boat. I have plenty of room. Very stealthy. Exercise. Easy to load and unload at the lake. And gas is reeeeeeally cheap. And if the motor breaks down I have bigger issues to worry about.
Nice commercial for billbob's coosie. Too bad about the lost whopper. Enjoyed the video. Just wonderin'......do you carry a PFD in your
kayak?
Thanks for the good words and yes I do carry a PFD. In fact I always carry two if it is just me and three or four if there are two of us in the kayak. That is an absolute must. My kayak is not allowed on the water unless there are PFDs.
I've been itching some for a light-weight something like this for some of the rivers around here. I guess once you get a place for everything and everything in its place, it's probably a nice way to fish - barring big wakes.

I have fished in many variations of kayaks over the past 25 years, and to me, the Native Watercraft Ultimate 14.5 tandem is the only way to go. Room for everything inside the kayak. Extremely stable. Removable and repositionable seats so that it can be used for single or tandem. I paddle and fish some pretty nasty wakes in the lake in front of my house and have absolutely no issues. Plus it has lot of available accessories, skirts, anchors, etc. And being inside the kayak, rather than on top of it, allows me to stay dry during the colder months like right after ice out and in late fall and winter. It is also my favorite waterfowl hunting boat.
