We fished all weekend long just south of town in 80 to 120 feet of water. We worked near the commercial fishing nets both inside and out. We had some good luck targeting fish in the upper 15 feet of water using the small orange dodger and flies as well as some old school rattlesnakes. Had one of the best weekends of the year catching a variety of salmon and trout. We landed a huge 25.87 lb. Chinook salmon caught by David Geiger on Saturday morning using a dodger on a downrigger set 60 foot deep. The water temperature continues to be cold in the forties.

I put this on the home page now for two reasons. James publishes some of his fishing reports right here on Crappie.com on this forum: http://www.crappie.com/crappie/salmo...-dog-charters/ and I thought that if you did not know about it I'd bring it to your attention.
And secondly; I just got off the phone with James to plan my own trip. He says they are catching Coho and Steelhead now with a few big Kings in between, but book your trip now because within the next few weeks the big Kings should really start to turn on. Remember my report last year when I went with him. Here are a few of those pictures of Tomtom and I fishing with James last year.
Here's Tomtom
And here I am with a big one.
And if you missed my story last year about our fishing trip with James here's a link to the article. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/conte...one-stone.html
It's called "two birds with one stone" because we were actually up on our way to Crappie fish in Northern Wisconsin. It's a good story, check it out. Last year we did the trip around Memorial Day, but this year, since this Spring has been so cold, and the water has too, the big Kings are coming in later. So especially if you're in the thick of the heat in the South, consider a cool down on Lake Michigan and catch your self some of these monsters.
Sheboygan is a real nice small town (A historic fishing shanty village) on Lake Michigan. Call James and he'll set you up with some nice accommodations. You'll have a great time for sure.
