The "CrappiePro Crappie Pose". I'm sure someone else along the way has done this same way of holding fish up for pictures, but I'm giving the credit to CrappiePro. This is an absolutely fantastic way to present fish for Crappie pictures. Yes it's cheating. Yes the fish look much bigger than they are. But so what, the pictures look great. And isn't that what it's all about. If you want to document the size of the fish for science, take a picture on a tape measure. But if you just want great looking Crappie pictures, try doing it this way.
The trick is, hold all the fish through their gills with one on your index finger, and the other on your thumb. Remember that they should be belly to belly, and that you hold your hands with your palms facing your own face. It's kinda tricky, they are kinda awkward to hold that way. You'll be able to do it with a little practice, and you may need a little help to get the fourth fish on your finger. Hold the Crappie way out in front of you, and you're pictures will turn out very, very impressive.
All the fish shown above were under ten inches in length! lol, Just kidding. They were all around 2 pounds each. And they are all different fish too, except the ones Don and I are holding. We caught those while fishing together, with about 24 others, so we just took pics of a couple of the bigger ones with each of us. It was one of the best days fishing I've had in a long time.
What follows are some pictures of the Arkansas Crappie Camp. It was one of the biggest I've attended with approximately 160 people there. The food was great, the prizes were great. CrappiePro and his Angels did a top notch job for sure.
There were a ton a prizes given out. I think almost everyone won something. Here is a link CrappiePro made listing all the Camp Sponsors: http://www.crappie.com/crappie/arkan...ml#post2307229
A couple of our wonderful Cooks.
Did I mention, the food was awesome.
Matching shirts, wonder where they got those!
I even got a "Head Guber" T-Shirt presented to me. It was quite a surprise. Thanks Billbob.
A couple pictures Ski Trip provided to me. Lake Dardanelle is a great lake, with some big fish, and some real nice scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there.
