• Planer board day on Ky Lake

I owe Rickie about a thousand fishing trips for all the work he does on my boats. He won’t let me pay! It’s always “Take me fishing.”

    I took him fishing today.

Big crappie was 16.25 inches. Didn’t weigh it. She will replace a crappie I lost in my shop fire.

Green Perch was 12.75 inches and about to bust. She would have given the old state record a run but new State record was recently set with a 14 inch plus fish. I dropped her back in after pics. We had a couple more crappie over 14 inches.

We were pulling underspin jigs with plastics behind Off Shore Tackle OR38 mini boards.

A great time was had by all!!

Thought of you guys the past 2 days while boating 50 keepers with the boards. We need to get together and have a reunion.

When you guys pull those mini boards pulling jigs, how much line do you try to put in between the board and the jig. Is it depth you are trying to run multiplied by 1.5? EX. ( 10’ depth goal would be 10x1.5=15 feet of line out to each a depth of 10’ deep.

You two work hard and deserve a good day on the water together. Some good fish you found as you as you always do. Good job y’all!
