Crappie.com - Good quick trip

After gale force winds night before morning dawned calm and warm. Hit the lake and caught couple good ones quickly and buddy calls and said he i heading over.

Caught 3 more by time bud arrived. He is a minnow guy and started ketchn but small catfish. We stayed there a while and I caught couple more but real slow. WE decided to head to small lake we had planned to go with other friend but usually in his boat.

He offered from hospital bed fir us to go get his boat hooked to his car. We decide to just bank it. We go to different areas of dam and I toss a white one eighth maribou jig to a area where we usually ha e success on boT and connect w nice bass, then another. Also tossing Beetle spin with 3 inch minnow curly tailed jig where I caught couple smaller bass.

Noticed fish hitting something on surface so tossed spin bait at area and retrieved quickly and KABOOM happened. Turns out it was crappie on surface a d smashed spin minnow hard 5 really good black crappie.

Noticed my bud Leaving so called and offered my ketch. Then looked over and another guy had been there a d as leaving he congratulationed me on the show. Said I was leaving so have at it.

My buddy appreciated the crappie and reminded him I put 3 bags o filets in my freezer for my sons that morning so enjoy. He was going to have those FRESH filets for dinner.

Once again jigs won out over minnows.

Time for both of us to head home as one crazy bad storm and 58 degree temp drop tonight.
