• It’s been 26 days since I fished.

    Shoulda held off for 27.

Fished Enid. Water temp 38 on main lake. Warmer as you got to creeks, saw as high at 47. Super spooky fog. Pretty sure there were some haints out there watching me. Managed 7 keepers but had to swap jigs a bunch to find something they would eat. Even at that, only about 1 in 10 would even glance at it. And 1 in 5 of those would take a poke at it. Big fish of 1.87.

Still, for a 3 hour trip after such a long break, I’ll take it. I was starting to get the shakes.

Haint is southern fet haunt or ghost. Haint = Haunt

Looks like it's full of developed eggs. I was surprised the water temp is that low that far south. We just lost all of our ice cover on our Ohio lakes in the last week. I'm itching to get the boat out.

I too had to look up haint. Haunt or ghosts
