Been a long time since I gave a report so decided it was time!
Fished the Hiwassee for a little bit on Sunday - Water is VERY LOW, right at winter pool levels now. Did see 1 boat trash his prop right under the 58 bridge. If you don't know the lake, PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO YOUR NAV CARD!
Fish were spotty, but when you found them, they were there in piles. Probably double the amount of shorts than keepers, which I find encouraging
All fish came off main lake structure, posted-up in the 6-8ft range right on the channel ledge. Water was absolutely STILL (as it seems to have been all this year ) - and fairly clear (for the Hiwassee). Temp was 63.5 in most places. All fish came off BG shad in Monkey Milk and Blue Ice.
Got on the water at 1pm and was off at 430pm.
