My first sacalait of fall caught on Tuesday, out of my old 1-man pond prowler, fishing just before the Ruddock exit (Hwy 51) near LaPlace.
Found a few smaller sacs among the bluegill bites and 1 keeper cat. Fish were caught tightlining parallel to laydowns in 5 - 8ft of water using a hand tied 1/16th gold-squirrel tail jig.
Water is cooling off and the bite should get better. I'm going to try again tomorrow with some black and chartreuse tubes/curly tails.
