Plan your work and work your plan. And I did just that. Ran in the salt yesterday and I always try to flush the salt off of the trailer and motor before too long. So this morning I got a text from Nino that things were good on the lake, and the weather channel gave favorable winds so off I went. Dropped in about ten and was home at 1:30. Things went very well with good numbers being caught and out of character for me, I kept fish today for an upcoming dinner at my Daughters place. I lost what would’ve been the biggest one today by the size of his mouth. I was impressed but tangled lines let him get the slack he needed to say goodbye. What I kept paled in comparison but the bigs were 13”. Lots of shorts show promise for coming years, also a good thing. Nino was pleased with his catch today but not with the crowds that come this time of year. All ended well. The temps went up into the 70’s and the wind laid flat about an hour before we headed for the ramp. We were still catching fish but it was time to go. An excellent day and home in time to clean fish and relax with a beverage. Hope y’all got out cuz they’re sure enough working around here. Hope to see you out soon and til then……Skeet

This is Nino hard at work. Said he was exhausted when we headed for the ramp.

These are the few I kept. A few of them were extra nice. The biggest one fell to my 6’ ultralight that came along today. Took a minute to get him to the net. Good fight.

Nice, quick day Skeet. Actually the best way to eliminate Salt from motor/rig is a quickie to the freshy, fresh!
