• Pico’s and Arkies and Shorts…OH MY!

Shorts was the word of the day…and not the kind you wear. My bride and I took advantage of the beautiful weather and pulled the boat to a new to us lake here in the Buckeye State. The 664-acre Burr Oak Lake in Athens, Co. was built as a multiple-use reservoir for flood control, water supply and recreation. We pulled cranks for 4 hours and managed 9 short crappie, 2 LM bass and 1 channel cat. Water temp 80 degrees. All fish were caught at 11 ft in 18 ft of water. (Just above thermocline)

It was Dave. We essentially had the lake to ourselves. Only saw 3-4 other boats all afternoon.

Cool looking Lake, I like a real bendy lake. Your boat looks to be set up for pulling too. Y'all catch just Whites or Blacks too trolling?
