Dr Phillip G and I hit the water at 7 am and fished until 10. It was a very early bite and solunar table movement here on Chickamauga. We did have a beautiful sunrise but we had already put most of our 10 keepers in the boat by the time that the sun peeked over the ridges.
We caught two keepers and one Blue catfish after sunrise. The fish were deep. Most 20 feet or more. Flow rate of 11,000 cfs and surface temp of 65 degrees.
1/16 oz jig heads with Bobby Garland Slab Slayers and Baby Shads with Slabsauce applied did a number on these fish. The biggest slab was over 13”.
