Crappie mid pm w/SLABSAUCE

Dr Phil called me in the mid afternoon and said that our friends from Oliver Springs was down here on Chickamauga doing a little crappie fishing and wanted to know if I was up to going fishing. Of course. Grin

They were fishing in our neck of the woods and told us to come and meet them. We made it to the area, but didn’t see them, so we just started fishing on one of the off shore spots that I like and there were plenty of crappie in the area.

In a little while they finally found us and we had been catching a few small crappie with a keeper or two. The north wind was blowing pretty good making floater fishing difficult so we started tight lining jigs in 12 feet of water and the fish were suspended around 8 feet deep.

Jeff and Charlie are long fishing buddies and Jeff and Dr Phil ride 4 wheelers together. We invited them to get their boat in close to ours and fish with us. I had an extra bottle of Slab Sauce and gave it to Jeff along with the hot lure and pretty soon, Jeff was singing the praises of Slab Sauce. I think that I have a convert now.

In the short time that we had together, we caught 9 keepers and gave them to Jeff and Charlie to give them a very nice bunch of fish to ride back to Oliver Springs. I told Jeff that he would have to get his next bottle from Crappie.com but the next hot lure was going to cost him. Lolol.
