Managed to sneak away for a short 3 hours today. Pretty sure this will be my last trip of 2022. Really interesting day. Wind was blowing in pretty good and the water was rushing out even more. SoI had some pretty serious wind bow one direction and the jig was angling hard the other. The heaviest jig i had was a 1/24 oz. Note sent to Santa. Took me awhile to figure which direction ro set the hook...lol Water was 46 and fairly clear and the bite was 8-10 ft. Bait preferred was a natural shad color. I was meat hunting today. First time I've kept fish in awhile

Oh and I dummied a rod tip on a custom build today. Lost about an inch but I think Grassy Custom Rods can fix it.

Overall I've caught way less fish this year. But I've definitely caught more per outing and better quality fish. I'm also starting to dabble with black magic electronics. I'm using a Garmin PS22 TR. I don't believe it helped me catch a single fish today but it definitely kept me in productive waters. So maybe it helped me catch all of them...not sure.
