To my very good friend Ez , Saturday was the last chase for us in Ft. Worth. He is on his way down/up the road this week.
To say I will miss him is the understatement of the year, been about 10 years now and to be very sure this post makes me sad.
We went at em for 6 hours and boated well over 200 crappie, not many off species in the mix. We managed a large number under our favorite dock, then off to the open water humps by the dam to chase the whale fish. We only hit 2 spots total and just sat around hammering crappie lips and cutting up like we would be doing it again soon.
Did get the chance to see a really good fish charge out of a brush pile to slam my jig, good times no doubt about it. Lost lots of big fish by the boat as we were in the just playing around with them mode. We did not keep any fish.
So many laughs hanging around with him that it is likely some sort of record. His sense of humor coupled with mine and of course H in the mix many times as well, makes for some really hilarious good times.
Fish were in 10 to 12 foot of water as shown and water temp. was 80ish and them crappie were very cooperative, and our rods stayed bent over and the fish were in on the let's show them boys a good time mode.
Bye my friend, safe travels sir, hope to see you someday soon in the future.
