I fished both days from dawn until 10:00 am, it was already 90° and the yahoos were thick by the shift change so I was more than happy to give them the water at quittin time.
Sat- Jigs only ( only other time I’ve done this is when I left my wallet at home and couldn’t buy bait) I pitched a 1/8 oz Black and chartreuse beaver tail style bait pretty much all day long. I caught fish the entire time, and the bite was pretty darn aggressive. In all caught 50 or so with 7 keepers, many many many 9” fish, 2023 should be a good one.

Sun-The time I spend livescoping is very efficient, I’m always on fish but they ain’t always bitin. I think sometimes I’d be better off leaving a big wad of crappie that won’t bite and finding somethin a more receptive group rather than spending an hour pitching around to a couple of spots. Sometimes I think I spook them getting too close, I watch them start to really bunch up around the cover after someone slams a cooler lid or drops a phone, etc..I digress. So I would have bet anything I would have done just as well today as yesterday, WRONG. Fishing gods heard me pounding my chest and they answered with a serving of humble pie to boot. Fish were all in the same areas and depths as they have been,8-12 feet deep in 30 feet of water, but very tight lipped to my offerings early on, after two hours of fishing I had lost two pigs and landed 3 crappie. I moved spots and maybe hit 20 or so short fish and 1 12” over the next couple of hours, but I had to run a Bday party for my 8 year old and the weather was rough on this ol boy.
Side note** while I was stowing my motor and cleaning up a wake boat skirted within 50 yards of me and I had a series of 4 foot waves bearing down on me while I was helpless on the front deck. The waves crashed over the bow swamping my boat, and I had to hold onto the motor shaft to avoid being tossed overboard. I know you boys mind your manners out there but everyone ain’t so nice, y’all stay safe and be careful out there.

Livescope will teach you a bunch if you pay attention to it which it sounds like you are. I’m bad myself about not leaving non biting fish early enough. I just keep trying to get them to bite. I’m also looking for another long rod, although I’m thinking pitching might be easier and cover more water. Good job out there and keep it up.
