Spent last week in Michigan's upper peninsula just east of the mighty Mac.
Walleye were being chased utilizing planer boards and deep diving cranks.
Walleye and pike were caught in 12 to 30 feet of water.
The week didn't produce huge quantities of fish, but quality fish and enough to keep the group of 10 fed.
On the last day of fishing we had a drop back on one of the boards and then it disappeared as my buddy grabbed the rod out of the holder! A circus ensued as we began to clear the closest lines to prevent this fish from tangling them. After a 10 minute battle the fish neared the boat and a question of net size arose. No way was this fish fitting but we were going to try! Luckily as the fish got halfway into the net it folded its body and two of us were able to hoist it onboard.
Although this Musky wasn't any sort of a record it was for us as this was the first in all our years of fishing together. A truly memorable experience.
