After 3 fabulous days o ketchn faced the fishing quandary. Do you leave great fishing to go where your fishing guru's are telling you they are on the banks and big? Well these guys are reliable and bymo is up from FL and wanted to get back to my cabin anyway so after that great day in last post we left that night.

Usually the bymo factor means "should have been here yesterday " but not this time. We hit it perfect next morning and had our limits o slabs quickly and were on the banks.

Then we went to another lake to see if they were spawning as another buddy whacked a big stringer last year. Wasn't but did ketch 6 good black crappie that fought like bass and really smacked those jigs! Stopped at friends house on way back and gave him those for fresh dinner.

Next morning KABOOM happened ketchn great fish in close and man was that fun! Bymo did even better and quicker but I finished in a flourish with final 7 in about 10 minutes.

Turkey hunting buddy saw me at house Stopped by with his usually great stories of big game trips and hunger for crappie. BOOM another bucket o crappie left with out having to clean! Score! Another satisfied customer.

Then here comes another neighbor w his powerful diesel grasshopper mower to make short work of our very high grass. I am on a roll! And he leaves with a couple of bags o crappie. I keep all the neighbors supplied and they do all kinds of nice things for us.

Final morning comes with high winds out of east and we debate going or not and u know the saying but we go anyway and KABOOM happens again. We hit an easy access area and limits o big crappie happens again!

Magical week with crappie ketchn from Sunday thru Friday. Plus got to share it with friend who lives to fish but hasn't had much success recently.

Even had a nice young guy say " hey your the hdhntr" and have nice visit. Had his two beautiful k8ds in tow and got them into the spawning fun. Lurks but doesn't post. Would have been great report if he would have shown his big stringer and cute kids ketchn. If you read this please do so we can all share your joy.

16th jig either dipped next to bank or brought back slowly 5 to 10 foot off bank. Color didn't matter much but chartreuse partly.

Last couple of times it was all about the curly tail jig blue/blk with chartreuse tail on a bobber about 12 to 18 inches down fished parallel with bank first at 4 foot our in couple feet o water and then lil deeper about 8 to 10 feet out with 2 to 3 foot of line. They would gob smack that with hard thumps.

simply LOVE it when those bobbers are going slowly off the bank and then KABOOM, it's on baby! yeah yeah I know if I go out those bigger females are there but guess I am addicted to the Kaboom in shallow water! scrambling along the rip rap to the next section of water and places you just know they are waiting and then they are. So much fun.
