• Finally got to go.

Well some of you may know I broke my left arm in Oct. I accidently had the 5th wheel come undone and land on my hand on the tailgate. I was stuck, bleeding and in pain. Luckily my nephew John was able to get the camper off me. After a trip to the ER I was sutured and put in a brace and sling. My ulna was broke near the wrist joint. After 2 casts and all this time, it has still never healed and is in a bad place to try surgery. Fortunately it is stable so my ortho doc said give it a try. Since it is the hand I cast with I practiced for a few days in the yard and found I could manage some.

Went to Toledo Bend and fished with my brother wed. and thur. afternoon for 2.5 hrs each day. Did not want to over due it and had a little pain. But what a fun time for us. Wed. we kept 13 crappie and one bass. Thur, we kept 17 crappie. 31 fish for 5 hrs total. I have never had a mess with a bigger overall size in my 67 years. We caught no throw backs. Only a couple were under 12 inches and a couple hit 14 inches. Only 3 females. My scale batteries were dead so we did not weigh them. The pics were terrible as my brother was the photographer. He did a good job of picturing the ground and sky. haha. Anyway the first icebox shot was the first day and the second was all of them except for a few we had started cleaning. I felt like I had a Mississippi mess with so many over 12 inches. "G" would have been proud. Also, I did wear my Team Overalls for the days we fished. Also, one more thing, they were shallow and scattered in a grass bed. All caught on BG jigs. No shiners harmed.

Sounds like to me you need to exercise that wrist some more by pulling more fish in. Glad to hear you are healing.

I agree with Bill. More therapy on your wrist by slab slinging needed. Take care and heal up soon.

Glad to hear you’re recovery is coming along, but it sounds like the fish aren’t on the same page. They’re feeling the losses as you gain. That’s a good mess of fish and it also good to hear you’re getting out some now that the season is moving right along. Keep after em, it’s good therapy!
