Fishing with my son.

Son and I boated over 150 fish today on J Percy Priest. The majority were crappie in the 11-12 inch range with a few at the 13 inch mark. Caught a few white bass….I had a hybrid that went almost 17 inches. My son was using a Fine Tail Area Super Ultra Light rod strung up with Varivas 2# test Blue Moon fluorocarbon line. I was using a Mega Bass 6' 8" Shore luck Limited UL rod strung with Varivas Infinity PE X8 in 5.4# test…diameter of 0.074mm…..with a section of 2# test FC leader. We had numerous doubles…action was fast and furious. These are the kind of days you dream of…especially with your son. The lure of choice for both of us was a Sow Bug and or Bison colored Trout Magnet on a Daiwa Gekkabijin 1.5 gram jig head with a #8 hook. There will be a video coming but going to take a while to edit over 150 clips. Life is good!

A great day on the water with your son! Priceless time together. I haven’t fished Priest in a few years and I see it’s still living up to its reputation. Hope you kept a few for dinner.
