• Never hurts to fish like a kid.

I have been needing to take the Bristol steel telescopic rod out for a short fishing strip. It is a 9' steel rod with 3 guides, an aluminum reel seat and a short cork handle. I paired it with a Mitchell 308 reel with 4 pound Viscous Hivis line. A number 10 hook, a small float , and some very small fly fishing split shot. Considering that the water levels have been up 3 feet due to rains and TVA has done their best to bring it all back down. I decided to see if any bream would be willing to bend a rod. I Found some small bream and some over eager shiners, it felt good to be out in the sun and feel the warmth. Just as when I was a kid. Anything caught made me a happy camper.
