Got into a mess of Jesup fryers....

But we had to work for them. Met up w/Andy aka/Crappieday @ daybreak & it didn't take long before a few rods bent, however, I acknowledged to Andy beforehand that this was a scouting trip & I usually don't fish Jesup this time of yr, soooo didn't know what to expect & kept trolling open water & the bite slowed. Picked up rods & went to spot #2, couple more for the box, but no concentration. Spot #3 being on the radar we manage another 6 for the box, kept fish over 11"...W/biggest 13 3/4" today. So now the wheels start turning & we decide to fish the original spot @ daybreak, but find nobody home. Now it's 11:30 & we have 10 or so fish, look @ Andy & ask if he's feeling like a trooper to try 1 last spot....well that's when the hammer fell & we added another 16 to the box in 1 1/2 hr with plenty more throwbacks. Coincidentally, Andy brings up to the boat the "Big" fish of the day in this spot, although it was as Andy says (a stink'n Gar), sorry buddy couldn't let that 1 slide....the trip ended on a high & thank you Andy for the company....til' next time tight lines all!
