Got a call earlier in the week from Bearlake Slab Daddy that Monroe had picked up steam & both our boats needed some run time, so that left a open seat in mine , didn't think twice about who I'd call & as usual he guided my boat to the big fish...that would be Crappieday or as I like to call him Big fish Andy....the wind was pretty much non-existent the whole morning & the preferred colors changed as the sun got higher in the sky= blue, orange, green, chartreuse, white, pink....all seen action. They also seamed to hang in packs as several fury's had the clicker adding up quick, however, we were selective & only kept fish over 12", many released to fight another day. Was the 1 st trip to Monroe this season & can't thank Andy enough for putting me on a good bite. Incidentally, BLSD lower the water levels in his boat as well, so it's a good bet if the weather cooperates for the Slabfest, you guys should bring good fish to the scales....had a couple 15" donkeys, row of 14",13", & 12"....tight lines....
