a skilled-trade that establishes alcoholic beverages(eg- mixed drinks etc.) and a bartender's(mixologist) adeptness in creating a return "watering hole" customer. My favorite "watering hole" can be fresh or saltwater and both do have equal, overall when it comes to plan of the day. Freshwater Monday yielded 9 crappie 11-13.5"/3 red-bellies 7-8.5" to share the ice-bath comfort in this formidable Florida heat. Tug-a ward honors easily go to this pictured red-belly-. No doubt about it...the colors of these(males?) long-ear sunfish coupled with their "pounce for ounce" will always test my u/l tackle and bless my addiction. I've recently discovered(YT) a trophy Redbelly fishery here on Florida's Northwest side(Aucilla River)= Flyrodder's Nirvana!!(another wish-list item added)!
Saltwater Tuesday(Snook season Wed. pre-fish) was a bit stingy with Moon-phase/Winds/Heat even though the tide phase was on-point(low>high). Still enjoyed the day working shallows(1-4 fow) with the 1/16 and 1/8 oz VUDU shrimp. One 15" flounder, 17" Redfish, 20.5" Snook, 3 hard-fighting hardhead catties(>2.5 #), few hard-fighting/aerialist ladyfish(>24") enjoyed their released(15" flounder given to landowner @his bulkhead while we chatted! Unfortunately, Mother Nature's threatening forecast, has shelved Mr. Snook's pursuit until next week for me.
Thanks for coming along-
