Went out for the afternoon with hopes of finding a few shellcracker and enjoy the nice weather. I picked up a can of worms and hit the lake with my girlfriend about 3pm.
Lots of bites and action right away, mostly small shellcracker and bluegill. Pitched a worm and got a few small bass too. After a while I then decided to throw out a baby 'gill I caught to see if Mr. Green was around. Sure enough, a few minutes later got whacked by a nice one. 6 lbs, 6 ounces. Released to fight another day.
Spring and summer patterns are in full effect down here! Good luck and happy days to all!
