• Soaking up some Rays....

Friday & Saturday mornings with quite different conditions in the fish staging....Friday found some with preferred long- lining deployment....many fish seamed spawned out w/ only a couple out of the mess w/roe, which had me thinking the specks are in post spawn mode, headed for open water....could of titled Friday's outing as 2 pole Sally, as many double hook ups happened, w/many of next yrs 10" fish thrown back, got busy for a while w/ no complaints what so ever...lol...so Saturday was going to be a test on a different lake to see if the open water trolling would follow Friday's results. Had the pleasure to fish w/Bearlake Slab Daddy, fishing out of his boat...started slow in one area, so decided to try another & thought let's try a little closer to the shoreline & bingo=it was ON ....wasn't gang buster, but plenty steady till calling it a day. We had a late start as Leonard had a tire going down to start, so we decided to drop his vehicle off for the tire repair & hook up to my vehicle & fish while the repair was made. All worked out in the end & Leonard took home a mess....was convinced fish are starting to head to open waters, till I got a call from Leonard stating most fish he cleaned, had roe in them, I was surprised as not many of them showed stretched bellies, well I got fooled & we'll have to see what this next full moon brings...hope some open water action happens for the up coming Slabfest, till then tight lines all!! Pic from cooler Saturday, other 2 from Friday....

This was Friday's tally, 1 above was woody a few weeks back, don't know why my dates in photos are out of order, oh well....
