• Wateree striper

Few weeks back at the social at HR, met up with a few guys that were very interested in my method of striper fishing. After talking for weeks, Mike (aka "team Rookie") finally set the date for a run to wateree for a half a day.

He and Cathy got a true experience on what to look for since this was my first day on wateree this year, and havent heard any reports to amount to anything.

Well we picked away at them all morning in less than ideal conditions. Full moon, heavily stained water, clear skies and wind.

Once all said and done we wound up with 15 striper and 4 cats and headed in right around noon. Mike says he is ready to sell off his bait tank and cast nets. No need for any of that any more!

Absolutely enjoyed it with you 2 today. Thanks for being such good "students".! [emoji1787]

Anyone else interested in learning how to catch them without needing live bait, let me know. It will only get better the next few weeks!

That "striper guide" has hundreds of people watching at every post and every report for every lake.
