Every crappie fisherman has a favorite crappie jig/lure. Product loyalty is the backbone that keeps new products on the tackle store racks. Without crappie fishermen, crappie jigs/lures would not have a market. I cannot imagine being a crappie fisherman and not having a selection to chose from when I go shopping for crappie jigs/lures. Recently I saw an opportunity to participate in the Bobby Garland/Gene Larew "Color My Baby Shad Contest" and my first thought was, I should participate and submitt an entry.
My first instinct was a name, and without hesitation "Watermelon Wine" popped into my head and I could not sleep until I got on my computer and generated an entry into this contest. I had no problem coloring my idea because watermelon comes in only a couple of variations. The yellow meat melon did not surpass the idea of the favored red meat with the green rind. The black seed completed the idea and I submitted my idea and to my unabashed happiness, my entry was selected as one of the several winners.
If anyone wants to say I'm pushing a product for profit, it is true. The winners selected will win 1000 of the first run of each entry. My entry won me 1000 Bobby Garland "Watermelon Wine" jigs and I am so happy I want to share. Details will be announced by Ed Moes aka slab and the picture attached is my entry. Why you may ask, "because I have no reason to let so many jigs sit, and not be out there catching crappie".
To me, crappie.com simply rocks!
