I haven't been going to the creek much this year as I just never could find crappie in there . They should have been there long ago ,but I never found any . Well a bud said someone told him they were in there so I got a little excited and went down there to see for myself .
Sure enough the signs were there , the place is trashed up to beat the band with piles of beer cans and minnow bags and chip bags and empty tackle bags and the list goes on . Floats stuck in every tree and its obvious Christmas in on its way with all the adornments .
Mind you I hear the fish been in there a few , but I been busy hitting other spots and not really trying there much . One bud told me there were so many trucks parked along the road over the thanksgiving holiday it was unreal .
So to be sure Monday after its over and quiets down some the fish are for sure beat up and scared and that's about what I found .
I didn't photo the trash as it really got under my skin and I had no way to pick it up and carry it out or I would have for sure .
The same schmucks that do this kind of thing are the ones that will cry the loudest when they put up a heavy fence and don't let folks go in there anymore .
Anyway I did find a few smaller black crappie and a few other small fish , but as disheartening as it was to visit I am not sure if I will be down there on a regular basis this year .
If you read this and you are one of those people that did the deed you ought to go back with a bucket and pick that stuff up
I might even go back just to pick up trash like I did a couple years ago ….man humans are bad wildlife
fish were tight to brush and in real shallow water , I had my float set about 18 inches and if it wasn't close to brush within a foot or so it was wasting time .
pearl seemed to be best and the water was so clarity wise .
sorry for the rant and have a great day
