• Chickamauga lake report

The morning was calm slight breeze to keep things cool. Ran to what has become "the spot". Didn't take long to put the first fish in the livewell. Yep there still here! As the morning eased along I added a couple more fish to the tank. About the third or fourth fish... Wham! Woah there... Easy! And finally in the net then on the board. Finally, my first TARP! Just a fraction over the 14" line, was as good as a mile for me. After that excitement I calmed down and fished on. Boat traffic was light today, beautiful partly cloudy skies. Water temp was 82° around 11:30. When I put number 15 in the livewell winds were 10 to 15 so it was time to go. Fish were still suspended over 22' - 24' fow just of the edge of a channel ledge. Most came vertical jigging, some came from casting and slow rolling the bait on about a 12 count. Fish ranged from 10" in to 14" most were in the 11" to 13" class
Baits today were BG baby shad, scremer 3/32 chartreuse head and BG Slab SlayR, gumdrop 3/32 purple head...
