Wheeler Friday

Went out with my fishing 🎣 partner of 30 plus years on Wheeler. Friday. Not a drop of wind but plenty of fog and bait fish. Good size on all 38 Crappie. Some were 15 and 16 inches. Most were full of eggs, but not runny yet. Fishing in 6 ft. On a narrow point . Plenty of baitfish getting ambush against the current. No minnows , just jigs and corks about 3 ft . Funny thing was, you cast, let it sit . Look and it be gone . Tried trolling , drifting, jig in place and cast on the bottom. Had to be sitting still ! B. Garland full moon, blue ice , and squirrel tail jigs. Water was clear for about 3 ft . 52 degrees and current was steady. Glad we got out before the front. Now my back and arm are sore from fishing and cleaning fish.😔
