• Charlie Brown great pumpkin

I have not wet a line in quite awhile since night classes started up but I finally have something worth posting.
Every year I grow pumpkins with the hopes of hitting the 100lb mark and was finally successful. I have gotten within 6lbs a couple years but was able to break that barrier this year with a handful over the triple digit mark. I start seeds the second week in June and hope they get enough rain the first month to really get a good root system and then let them take over the garden. Very pleased with this years production and always happy when I get to deliver pumpkins to my friends with children.

Prize winner Pumpkin was the variety this year.
I have had luck with Big Max but they tend to get a virus easily when it rains too much.
