I've been fishing throughout the summer with a mix of pretty good to so so trips. Limit catches were the norm on most trips, with a variance in the length of time it took to catch'em on most trips the difference. A good mix of quality and keeper fish made up most creel. With both white and black crappie being caught. Seeing all the good catfish reports coming out of Wylie, seems to be universal. I don't target catfish, but catch one or two on each trip over the last month or so. I've been doing a good bit of brush building and refurbishing as well. Things should start heating up now that Labor day has passed and cooler temps are not too far away.
A beautiful sunrise over a corn field seen in Calhoun county while heading to the lake.
A 25 lber. caught off a vertically presented jig.
One of over 30 brush I put out over the last few weeks.
The grand son and I caught a few as well.
A nice black crappie.
Not to discriminate, a nice white crappie.
Trying to stay hydrated.
The heat and Bud Lights may have gotten to me. I started seeing blimps.
Just one of the many coolers of fish caught over the last couple months
