somewhat entertaining ….the start was a 5 to 10 mph forecasted wind that was more like 10 to 20
then there was the folks out on one of the largest oaks in a timber patch in around 11 fow that decided it was a diving board
and of course we had the ding dongs that cruise by close to eyeball ya while your in timber and wake you into the trees !
the heat was also a tremendous factor in the mini ordeal
then the launch we chose at 5 foot low that would not cooperate as the trailer fell off the concrete
but we smiled most of the way thru it all and boxed up about 15 or more
and we managed to ketch a pretty large number of them ...just not many whales
fish were in around 15 to 20 fow for the most part and closer to the bottom than not
fouled hooked a lil black bass on my bottom jig when he tapped my top jig …..pretty good pull
bud hung something really large that schooled him good at another spot
found quite few smalls and even a few other black bass and bluegills
not many large fish though and only one of the 2 larger fish made it in the ice chest
best bait was something with blue in it and not large …..
in the end it was an interesting trip though as always
when we left at 104 degrees and the sun beating us down we even saw a big doe amble across the road
go figure ...they say they don't move when its hot …
and we found an old bridge on a road bed …..check out the guard rail ….
hope you enjoy the photos
