The wife and I went to Missouri to watch the grandson pitch baseball for Lindenwood College and to fish Truman Lake (give Carl Blackwell a break) for 5 days. We spent a lot of time fishing in 32-42 degree weather with lots of wind. We went with our son (Montanaboy) and two friends. Fishing was great. The first two days, we fished out of boats (staying below the dam in a slack water channel because of the heavy winds), using a double rig minnow system. We got maybe 200 fish, plus sand bass, hybrids, blue cats, and bluegills, and 1 drum. The next three days, we stayed on the docks and absolutely slayed 'em, with a brown/pink hair jig and a purple/pink marabou jig doing a lot of damage.
The pictures are of: 1. The wife and son with some of her fish. 2. Friend Steve and his Dad with some of their fish. 3 and 4. The two jigs that got hammered, far outfishing the plastics.
