Guess who one of the first people I met up with once I got to ICAST 2017, you guessed it, Wally Marshall. I found him at the Buck Knives booth where he proceeded to tell me about some new products he has partnered with them on.
The knife is way cool. It has “Release to the grease” on one blade,and the other has Wally's signature, plus the other side has a Buck family signature (not sure, perhaps one of the founders). Additionally it has a Crappie shaped nickel silver shield on it and best of all its only is $24.95. I believe the first 750 made will have serial numbers. Send me a PM on Crappie.com if you want the number to call to get on the waiting list. They are due out in October.
Buck Knives is a Made in the USA success story with 80% of their knives still being made here, and a “Forever” warranty. Got to love that.
Wally Marshall Speed Shooter rod (with "Air Wave" guide system) and reel in GREEN! Can't miss these things from a mile away! Always good to have bright equipment especially if you're a klutz like me and tend to step on things! lol
And then there's this Fish Measurer, by Buck. Wally is supposed to send me one. Should be real neat. It has an LED light that'll turn itself off after you measure your fish. It makes the whole scale super visible. I'll let you know more about it once I get one in my hands. They are supposed to come out mid October.
