Candi and I got out at daylight this morning in our quest for crappie. We had a fair morning as we caught one limit of keepers and a couple of short fish. Also, one small trashy green fish and two yellow bass tried to eat the lure that Candi was throwing this morning. As usual, she caught the two biggest fish today including a 14" Black Crappie and a 13.5" Black crappie. I did manage a couple of 13's. Grin.
Water temp when we started was a little over 84 degrees and had risen to 86.3 when we stopped at 9:45. Our productive lures were by Bobby Garland in Bluegrass Slab Slayers, Black Night Baby Shads and in the Minnow Mind'R Glacier colors. Candi also caught a couple on Outlaw Special color. I tried Green Thunder but to no avail. All our fish were released this morning. We got some pretty good pics today.
TVA running over 14,000 CFS and there was a nice cool breeze blowing all morning which kept the sun from being too hot. We fished one bluff area and several off shore areas and caught a few fish at every stop but one. I hope that you enjoy the pics. I had a fishing machine fishing with me this morning. Grin.
