    I guess I should know myself well enough by now to know the only way I am going to redear fish is to leave all manner of crappie gear in the garage. I made a few half hearted efforts to find some but in the end I did what I do. Some very nice ladies still hanging around, in fact don't think there is a male in the bunch. Looked like they were cutting the water loose thru Kentucky Dam on the way home, should be like fishing a whole new lake by the time I get to go again. Not redear but I will settle for a limit of slabs in May and maybe next year I will leave the crappie stuff at home.

      why would anyone want to waste their time fishing for redear when there is any possibility of catching even one crappie . a good day is just being on the water and hoping for a thump.

      No how that is, had plans for shellcracker Wednesday, but ended up getting 2 limits of crappie..maybe next time..

      I will take a shell cracker fillet over a crappie anytime! Y'all don't hate me to bad for saying that! Great catch and good pic👍
