    I had the chance to fish with a buddy back in January and we had a great day. I had never really fished winter for crappie. I had fished a couple of warm late February days but it wasn't what I would consider "winter fishing". The bite was outstanding, some bites were more of a peck than a thump. The wind had the lake whitecapping at times coming over the bow onto our feet.



    We culled all but 3 under 11" and could have culled them with them many 12+" fish but those three had already died.

    Sorry this post is late, I have had fights with photobucket and have become frustrated by the issue.

      That cleaning station sure reminds me of one in southwest Arkansas, what a haul you got there. What type of bait.

      Thanks for the comments everyone. These fish were all caught on Southern Pro Umbrella Tubes. Purple and Chartreuse aka NIMROD Specials.

      Nice crappie are being caught in the KY River using minnows. Fish structure out of the current. Smallmouth & sauger is good. Largemouth fishing is very slow.
