For the first time ever I took my four year old son on a fishing trip. We launched at Bayou Corne at 9:00 a.m. this morning. I had anticipated a 2 to 3 hour trip with plenty of snack eating and mostly boat riding. Can I tell you that this little mans focus was on fishing and only fishing. He would not let me cast for him at all, mind you we are fishing cypress stumps under heavy brush with a 10 mph south wind. I can honestly say that I hung up just as much as he did. He untied all his tangles and picked his own lure. We ended the day at 5:00 p.m. with 13 sacs, 3 brem, and 1 bass. I cant say enough how proud I am of him. By the way the fish were 1 foot deep in 18 inches of water. Color of choice was black/chartreuse.
