Juicy and I headed for Lake D'Arbonne today. Put in before daylight and fished till 9 and caught one fish. Fish were stacked in the Channel but wouldn't bite. So, we headed to the Port of Bistineau at Lake Bistineau at 9 and we were fishing by 10:30. We were desperate for a good Crappie Couvillion. Found the fish in 18'-20' FOW, we fished 14' FD. We used some jigs that Duckcomando had tied up. They were the ticket to some good Crappie. We caught 45-50 fish and we kept 28. We had a great day "feeling the thump".
Great pictures. Was stationed at Barksdale AFB in 1967-1970 then lived in Bossier City till 1976. Used to fish Bistineau State Park all the time. Great memories. Looks like Bistineau got the millfoil under control?

LOL!!! That's Camo Bib Overalls (#teamoveralls) with the only hooded jacket I have. Hey, it was 29 degrees that morning, I do what ever I have to do to keep warm. I was introduced to "Hot Pockets". Those things are a must have in Winter Time Fishing.
Nice looking crappie and great looking dinner. I like the tale, tale story of the chartreuse crappie nibbles. seen it on the camo pants.
Hook don't go in the water without a Chartreuse Crappie Nibble.
